Dominique Swain joins 'Vinyl' cast

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Dominique Swain has been cast in "Vinyl," an independent film about the women behind a rock and roll band on the verge of success.

Swain will play a groupie and wannabe lover of the band's lead singer, Zap2it.com reported Monday. The actress, whose credits include "Lolita," "Face/Off" and "Pumpkin," joins cast members Thora Birch, Jena Malone, Anna Faris and Marla Sokoloff.

The film, written and directed by Richard Zelnicker, will start shooting at the end of March.

Swain can be seen next in "Out of Season" with Dennis Hopper.
