Colin Farrell to present an Oscar

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Colin Farrell, recent star of "Phone Booth" and "Veronica Guerin" and soon to be seen in "Intermission," is set to present an Academy Award.

Telecast producer Joe Roth has picked the Irish star, who also heads "A Home at the End of the World" opening soon, as a presenter of an Oscar at the 76th Academy Awards.

February 29 is the date for the movie business to celebrate outstanding film achievements of 2003, at the Kodak Theatre. The ceremony will be televised live by the ABC TV network beginning 5 p.m. PST, a press release from the Oscars organization says.
