Wardel Fenderson is suing P. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, and his company, Bad Boy Entertainment, for $3 million, claiming he has suffered post-traumatic stress disorder and has been in constant fear for his life ever since he helped Combs and Lopez flee a shooting at Club New York on Dec. 27, 1999, according to Thursday's New York Post.
Federson, 45, was the first witness called in the trial, which began Wednesday in New York, and is expected to last about one week.
Federson alleges the hip-hop mogul and his bodyguard, Anthony "Wolf" Jones, forced him to speed away from police after the now-infamous shooting at Club New York on West 43rd Street.
Combs is expected to testify next week.
