Cheap Trick joining Aerosmith on tour

NEW YORK, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- The veteran guitar pop-rock band Cheap Trick will hit the road in March with Aerosmith for a 40-city North American tour.

Clear Channel Entertainment is the national promoter for the tour across the U.S. and Canada, which opens March 11 in Lubbock, Texas, and ends fittingly on June 28 in Cleveland, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Major stops along the way include Orlando, Fla., Atlanta, Philadelphia, Montreal, Portland, Ore., Dallas, Indianapolis, Boston and Pittsburgh.

The band's newest release, "Special One," is its first studio album in six years.
