Free 'thirteen' rentals for SAG members

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Fox Searchlight Pictures has said it will send out coupons for a free Blockbuster rental of "thirteen" aimed at gaining awards support.

Actors Holly Hunter and Evan Rachel Wood have been nominated for the Screen Actors Guilds Awards, which were announced last week.

Rather than send out screeners, copies of the movie typically sent to organization members to garner support, Fox has decided to instead offer free rentals to the 91,000 SAG members, according to Tuesday's Hollywood Reporter.

Offering the Blockbuster free rental is more cost efficient than mailing "thirteen" screeners to the entire SAG membership.

The mailing of coupons this week coincides with the teen drama's release Tuesday on home video.
