Holly Deveaux to play Casey Anthony
HOVE, England, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- British keyboardist David Palmer of the '70s rock band Jethro Tull has swapped his beard for long, blonde hair and is now Dee Palmer.
The former Royal Horse Guard, 66, is about to debut her first solo album.
"I want to be judged on my musical ability alone, and nothing else," she told the Daily Mirror. "It's not just wimps who want to do this. To be a girl, it goes a lot deeper than that."
Palmer gave the interview at the Lanzarote resort in Spain where the recording is under way. She plans to go on tour next month.
Palmer's desire to become a woman was an "open secret" in the rock world. She told the Mirror she didn't feel able to pursue her dream, however, until after her wife's death.
