LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- The California man who arranged for Michael Jackson to first meet the boy accusing the superstar of molestation has gotten threats after defending the child.
Jamie Masada, who owns The Laugh Factory in Hollywood, held a news conference to talk about the threats, the New York Daily Times reported Friday.
"I'm getting threatening phone calls (saying) if I don't shut up, they have a bullet for me," Masada said. "I took the calls very seriously (but) I'm not going to shut up ... If something happens to me, I just wanted you guys to know."
Masada said the caller told him, "We have everything about you."
Masada has received calls at the comedy club, as well as on a private cell phone, whose number Masada rarely gives out.
Masada did not accuse anyone from Jackson's camp for the calls.
The Los Angeles Police Department and authorities in Santa Barbara, Calif., are investigating Masada's report.
