Mariah Carey to have Beirut premiere

BEIRUT, Lebanon, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- International pop singer Mariah Carey will perform in Lebanon in February in her first concert in the Arab world.

The Beiteddine Festival Committee said in a statement Tuesday the world famous 33-year-old singer will perform Feb. 24 at the Beirut Exhibition hall in the city's renovated downtown.

The event is expected to draw Carey's fans from the various Arab countries.
