LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- The creative team behind "The Reagans" has made a deal with CBS to adapt for the small screen the story of a Houston woman who killed her husband.
Storyline Entertainment and Sony will produce the tentatively titled "Suburban Madness," the story of Texas dentist Clara Harris who killed her unfaithful spouse with her Mercedes, Daily Variety reported Monday.
"Madness" will the first CBS/Storyline collaboration since last fall's controversy over "The Reagans," which was moved from the network to its premium Showtime cable movie channel.
"After a year that included 'Chicago' and 'The Reagans,' we are happy to be back working with Les Moonves and CBS on a new film in the new year," Storyline's Craig Zadan and Neal Meron said in a statement.
Harris was sentenced to 20 years in prison last year after jurors decided she acted in the heat of passion when she killed orthodontist David Harris.
