NEW YORK, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Off-Broadway's MCC Theater company is planning a benefit featuring five new one-act plays by Neil LaBute in New York City.
LaBute will direct "Autobahn" at the Little Shubert Theater on March 1. The evening will include five of the playwright and filmmaker's new one-act plays: "Merge," "Road Trip," "Date," "Long Division" and "Autobahn."
All casting will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for the charitable event are $125. The evening's proceeds will benefit the theater and its literary and educational outreach programs.
Later this season, MCC will re-team with LaBute to present the U.S. premiere of his work, "The Distance From Here," directed by Michael Greif.
Last season, MCC presented the critically acclaimed, sold-out run of LaBute's Sept. 11, 2001, drama "The Mercy Seat," starring Liev Schreiber and Sigourney Weaver.
