NEW YORK, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Hollywood's TV mobster James Gandolfini has made his girlfriend an offer she couldn't refuse.

The actor who plays Tony on the HBO mob drama "The Sopranos" has announced his engagement to Lora Somoza, according to E! Online.

The couple met four years ago on the set of "The Mexican," a big-screen crime comedy in which Gandolfini played a gay hit man and Somoza worked as an assistant to the movie's director, Gore Verbinski.

The pair has not revealed when they will exchange vows.
