LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- For actress Kathryn Morris from the new CBS drama "Cold Case," getting a People's Choice award nod means viewers are watching, she said.

"We're barely on the air, so it's really nice," said Morris, who plays Lilly Rush on the drama, according to zap2it.com. "That was my first reaction to the nomination. 'Gee, we're just getting started.' We seem to have collected some loyal fans, and I'm hearing there are some people who never miss the show. That's very encouraging."

The People's Choice Awards, which will be handed out Jan. 11 during live ceremonies on CBS from Pasadena, Calif., will also recognize "Hope & Faith" (ABC), "The O.C." (Fox) and "Whoopi" (NBC), freshman shows getting their first shots at honors.

Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, from "Two and a Half Men," the new CBS show nominated for favorite new comedy series, will host the awards.

Winners in the categories of movies, music and television are determined by a Gallup poll survey.
