CAIRO, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Actress Angelina Jolie, as a United Nations goodwill ambassador, distributed gifts at a Sudanese refugee camp in Cairo, Zap2it.com reported Tuesday.
Jolie, 28, handed out winter clothes, blankets and toys Monday at the camp known as Kilo Arbaa We Nus.
She also donated $20,000 to build a community health center in the camp, where tens of thousands of African refugees live.
Jolie stays active in her United Nation's role and has visited Chechen refugees and funded a Cambodian forest conservation project. In October, Jolie received the Sergio Vieira de Mello Citizen of the World Award from the U.N. Correspondents Association.
The actress, who starred in the series of "Lara Croft, Tomb Raider" films, will next appear with Ethan Hawke in "Taking Lives," set for a March 2004 release.
