LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson said she will make no New Year's resolutions this year or ever, Launch Radio Network reported.

"I don't believe in 'em, funny enough. Because every time I make 'em I always end up lying to myself and I break it," Clarkson said in Friday's report. "You know when you're not supposed to do something it's in the back of your head and you end up wanting to do it more."

Clarkson currently is competing on "World Idol," which aired its first part Thursday on Fox. Part two, which is being broadcast from London, is scheduled to air New Year's Day.

Viewers worldwide will be able to vote for the "World Idol" winner, where Clarkson is competing with winners from 10 other countries.

Elton John is scheduled to perform on the final show.
