Golden Globes tap best supporting actors

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Maria Bello, Patricia Clarkson, Hope Davis, Holly Hunter and Renee Zellweger were nominated for Golden Globes for supporting roles Thursday.

Bello was nominated by the Foreign Press Association for her work in "The Cooler", while Clarkson was cited for "Pieces of April," Davis for "American Splendor," Hunter for "thirteen" and Zellweger for "Cold Mountain" for their work in a motion picture.

Alec Baldwin ("The Cooler"), Albert Finney ("Big Fish"), William H. Macy ("Seabiscuit"), Tim Robbins ("Mystic River"), Peter Sarsgaard ("Shattered Glass") and Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai") received supporting actor nominations.

The Golden Globe Awards will be handed out Jan. 25 during live ceremonies.
