Victoria Secret model expects baby

HAMBURG, Germany, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- German supermodel Heidi Klum, of Victoria Secret ad and Sports Illustrated magazine's swimwear issue, is expecting her first baby.

Thirty-year-old Klum has been with 53-year-old father Renault's Formula One team managing director, Flavio Briatore Briatore, for about a year, E! Online reports. She separated from her husband of five years, celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino, last November.

Klum, presenting her new fashion collection in Hamburg, told reporters she would take a short maternity leave. She did not reveal when the baby was due, nor whether she already knew its sex.

"It doesn't matter as long as it's healthy," she said. In an interview with the weekly Weld am Sonntag earlier this year, Klum had revealed her desire to become a mother and have "two or three children."

Klum was briefly linked to Red Hot Chili Pepper's Anthony Kiedis, while Briatore previously squired supermodel Naomi Campbell.
