LOS ANGELES, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- HBO announced Friday that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" will begin its fourth season on Jan. 4, following the final season premiere of "Sex and the City."

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" -- featuring improvised comedy based on story ideas by its star and creator Larry David -- was nominated for 10 Emmys this year, including Outstanding Comedy Series. It won the Golden Globe for best comedy series last January.

Producers announced that the coming season will feature guest appearances by series veterans Shelley Berman, Ted Danson, Susie Essman and Richard Lewis -- as well as new guest stars including Mel Brooks, Paul Mazursky, David Schwimmer and Ben Stiller.

On Jan. 2, HBO will air a "Curb Your Enthusiasm" marathon, featuring all 10 episodes last season back-to-back.
