AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Chuck Prophet, along with his regular touring band the Mission Express, will appear on the PBS-TV series Austin City Limits airing nationally Dec. 27.
Prophet will be performing mostly songs from his New West label debut, "No Other Love," released in 2002, including "After the Rain," "Old Friends," "Summertime Thing," "What Can You Tell Me" and the title track, as well as "Diamond Jim" from a previous release.
"I was trying to make records in some kind of way that would be the kind of record that I would like," said Prophet in his post-performance interview. "This last record just seemed to catch a little bit more of a wave. I guess that's what I'm trying to do, keep myself entertained with the process of making records, writing songs."
Austin City Limits is a production of KLRU-TV in Austin, Texas.
San Francisco-based Chuck Prophet is continuing to tour through the rest of the year, with new recording plans to be announced soon.
