Beyonce, R. Kelly win top Billboard Awards

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Beyonce and R. Kelly took four awards each to lead the field at the 2003 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Beyonce was named Hot 100 Female Artist of the Year, New R&B Artist of the Year and New Female Artist of the Year, and won a Special Hot 100 Award for Most Weeks at No. 1.

R. Kelly won for Hot 100 Producer of the Year, R&B Producer of the Year, Hot 100 Songwriter of the Year and R&B Songwriter of the Year.

Shania Twain, 50 Cent and Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz took three awards each -- including Country Artist of the Year for Twain, Artist of the Year for 50 Cent and R&B/Hip Hop Group of the Year for Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz.

Audioslave, Chingy, Evanescence, Trapt and 3 Doors Down took two awards each. The Black Eyed Peas' "Where Is The Love" won for Mainstream Top 40 Track of the Year.

Sting was presented with Billboard's top honor, the Century Award.

The Billboard Awards were presented at the MGM Grand in ceremonies televised live on Fox.
