NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Rolling Stone magazine has named the year's 50 best albums in its annual survey of what 2003 had to offer music fans.
From A to Z, the Rolling Stone editors have selected a mix of commercial successes with eclectic projects in all genres.
Among those making the list were Rapper 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Try Dyin'" rocker Ryan Adams' "11 oR N kcoR," R&B diva Beyonce's "Dangerously In Love," MC Jay-Z's "The Black Album," Sting's "Sacred Love," country legend Johnny Cash's "Unearthed" and rocker John Mayer's "Heavier Things."
Among the less-commercial successes included on the list were jazz trio The Bad Plus' "These Are The Vistas," folk rocker Kathleen Edwards' "Failer," indie-rockers Cat Power's "You Are Free" and black gospel group Robert Randolph and the Family Band's "Unclassified."
Rolling Stone annually publishes the year's top 50 albums, as compiled by the publication's editors.
