Country Weekly announces Fan Fave Awards

NASHVILLE, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Readers of Country Weekly cast their ballots and Alan Jackson and Toby Keith top the list of winners in the music magazine's annual Fan Favorite Awards.

The winners, announced Wednesday, will be featured in the Dec. 23 issue of Country Weekly, which hits the newsstands Dec. 9.

Jackson was named tops as entertainer, male artist and for collaborative song for "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," which he recorded with Jimmy Buffett. Keith won in the categories of album for "Unleashed" and video for "Beer For My Horses," his duet with Willie Nelson.

McBride was named favorite female artist; Alabama, favorite group, and Brooks & Dunn, favorite duo. Darryl Worley's single "Have You Forgotten" was named favorite song; Keith Urban was named favorite new artist. Country Weekly editors selected Dolly Parton for the Career Achievement Award.

More than 65,000 fans voted through mail-in ballots and online.
