NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- The Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center is launching a two-piano series next month that will team a jazz legend with a rising star at each of its four concerts.

For nearly half a century, Chicago-born composer-pianist and ensemble leader Hill has gained global jazz attention for his original music. Moran¹s debut recording as a leader, "Soundtrack to Human Motion" was released in 1999 to great critical praise. Moran recently released his fifth album on Blue Note.

Future pairings include Randy Weston and Rodney Kendrick on February 9, Hank Jones and Benny Green on March 22 and Fred Hersch and Brad Mehldau on June 21.
