NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Most Americans believe there was a conspiracy to kill John F. Kennedy, but that may change when a computerized reconstruction of the event is run on ABC-TV.
The Detroit Free Press says Dale Myers, a computer animator from Milford. Mich., has spent nearly 30 years studying that historic 1963 day in Dallas.
His 3D, computer-generated reconstruction of the assassination was to be a major part of a two-hour ABC News investigation to air Thursday, two days before the 40-year anniversary of the president's death.
ABC News says Myers' 3D model and other evidence confirm Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone gunman.
The newspaper said Myers' computerized depiction uses amateur films taken during the incident, along with maps, blueprints and still photos to view the assassination from any vantage point.
News anchor Peter Jennings said of Myers work: "I've watched a couple of particular moments scores and scores of times, and I get a chill every time."
