LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Britney Spears says her open-mouth kiss with Madonna is not an indication she is a lesbian although she admits she's "little bitter" about men.
The 21-year-old pop singer who maintained that she was a virgin before and during her relationship with 'NSync singer Justin Timberlake told Newsweek there was no point in maintaining the fib.
"Justin said it on Barbara Walters," she said. "The world knew after he told them all. What am I supposed to say, 'No, I didn't?' Can you say I'm a little bitter with men? Just a little."
She said her break up with Timberlake was difficult for her.
"There was a time when I was like, 'Okay, I'm over men. They're mean.' Not like they weren't drawn to me, but there wasn't a single real attraction," she said. "I'm like, 'What's happening? I know I'm not lesbian.'"
Spears said she doesn't understand why the wife of the Maryland governor, Kendel Ehrlich, said in a speech following the Madonna kiss: "If I had an opportunity to shoot Britney Spears, I think I would," the New York Daily News reported.
