NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Harry Connick Jr. has recorded a Christmas album with country music legend George Jones as a special guest on "Nothing for New Year."

Singer-actor Connick has a fall tour and NBC holiday special scheduled in support of the new album as well as return to "Will & Grace."

"Harry for the Holidays," due out Oct. 28, will combine popular Christmas songs such as "Frosty The Snowman" and "Silent Night" with originals such as "The Happy Elf," "I Come With Love." "Nothing New For New Year" is Connick's first collaboration with Jones.

Connick and his big band will kick off a fall and winter tour Nov. 10 in Austin, Texas, and wind it up in Philadelphia on Dec. 23. Tour highlights include three nights at New York's City Center, and two nights each at D.C.'s Kennedy Center and Boston's Schubert Theatre.

Connick has also been tapped for the new fall season of "Will and Grace," reprising his role as Grace's husband Dr. Leo Markus.
