MELBOURNE, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- The September issue of Vogue declares Oscar winner Nicole Kidman a fashion icon and urges aspiring starlets to take notice of her style.
The Melbourne (Australia) Herald-Sun reports Kidman never has made a "fashion faux pas."
"She's developed a character for the red carpet, a public persona that is very groomed, very sleek, very controlled, very smooth, very much the star, very gracious, very elegant, very thoroughbred," Gucci's Tom Ford is quoted as saying.
Kidman appears in a 20-page fashion spread featuring creations from Versace, among others, and shot by photographers Annie Leibovitz, Helmut Newton, Irving Penn and Craig McDean.
Kidman has three films coming out in the near future: "The Human Stain," "Cold Mountain" and "Birth."
