NEW YORK, July 27 (UPI) -- The drummer for the heavy metal band Iron Maiden was arrestd for assault after he allegedly got angry at a parking attendant in New York.
Michael "Nicko" McBrain, 51, is accused of striking the Jones Beach Theater parking attendant with his Jaguar.
The musician was apparently miffed after the attendant, who didn't recognize the rocker, demanded to see a parking pass for the V.I.P. lot, Richard O'Donnell of the New York State Park Police told the New York Post.
O'Donnell said McBrain arrived at Jones Beach around 8:30 p.m. Saturday for the group's concert.
The parking attendant stood in front of McBrain's car, blocking the lot entrance, but McBrain hit him, witnesses told the Post.
After given a desk appearance ticket, McBrain joined his band in time for its performance.
The parking attendant suffered minor injuries to his legs and right hand.
