NEW YORK, June 12 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie did many of her own death-defying stunts in the upcoming actioner "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life."
Word from Sci Fi magazine is the fearless "Girl, Interrupted" stunner scuba dove, fought with kendo sticks, dangled from wires down the face of a 150-foot sheer cliff while firing sidearms, rode a horse while firing a shotgun, as well as motorcycles and a wild bull, piloted a jet ski and hung from lines while climbing a 60-foot bronze statue of Alexander the Great.
The glossy also reports in its August issue that no matter how much Jolie begged and pleaded, however, the film's producers would not let her swim with sharks or jump from the 84th floor of a skyscraper.
"I think they expected that of me," the magazine quotes Jolie as saying. "They just said, 'Can we talk about it later, please?'"
At the time the issue went to press, Jolie was still negotiating with the producers regarding the sharks.
