Macedonia to decide on tender for power plants construction
The new Macedonian Cabinet plans to decide on whether to issue a tender for construction of Cebren and Galiste hydro power plants, the Macedonian Information Agency reported.
The government plans to presently make its decision on the report drafted by the commission in charge of bid evaluation, said Ivica Bocevski, a government spokeswoman. The government will state its position on the report after the elections, Bocevski said.
Germany's RWE and Austria's Verbund are the only companies that submitted bids during Wednesday's public opening of bids.
An evaluation period will follow the bids' opening, along with a selection of the best bid.
