LONDON, July 22 (UPI) -- A British court upheld a ban Tuesday that forbids a terror suspect living in England from taking school courses in biology and chemistry.
London's High Court ruled in favor of upholding the decision by British Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, dismissing an appeal from the Iraqi national, referred to as AE because of legal reasons, The Telegraph reported.
AE is suspected of having involvement with terrorist activities. The court's ruling advocated that AE was intending to use the information gleaned from courses in biology and chemistry taken at a regional college in England to construct bombs for terrorist purposes.
According to The Telegraph, AE said he was attempting to attend the classes to further his medical studies.
"The use by a terrorist of the practical experience learned on those courses to produce explosives or pathogens could lead to a substantial loss of lives," The Telegraph reported the court saying.
