NEW DELHI, April 29 (UPI) -- Indian and Pakistani border officials discussed closer cooperation during a meeting in March, Junior Interior Minister Radhika Selvi' title='V. Radhika Selvi' class='tpstyle'>V. Radhika Selvi said Tuesday.
Selvi told Parliament that the meeting between India's Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers in Chandigarh, India, last month discussed repatriation of inadvertent border-crossers, release of persons, construction of outpost towers, posts, and bunkers along international border, smuggling of narcotics, fake Indian currency, arms and ammunition.
"Appropriate follow-up action is taken in this regard," she said in a statement. "Further, the decisions taken in the meeting have also been brought to the notice of the concerned agencies for taking suitable follow up action in consultation with the respective diplomatic channel, wherever required."
