Peraton to help sustain DHS, TSA screening equipment

Security screening equipment of the Transportation Security Administration at airports are to receive logistics and support services from Peraton.

Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Peraton is to provide integrated logistics and support services to help sustain security screening equipment at U.S. airports and TSA component facilities.

The work for the Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration comes under a five-year $578 million government contract.

"Our work will help TSA protect our country," Peraton Chief Executive Officer Stu Shea said in a news release. "We're proud to have once again been called upon to assist the Department of Homeland Security in its mission of safeguarding the nation, and we eagerly accept the high standards and accountability required by TSA."

Peraton has a long history of supporting the Department of Homeland Security on national security initiatives. This new contract reinforces Peraton's reputation for delivering critical mission assurance, the company said.

Peraton is a Virginia-headquartered company.
