Raytheon supporting military training

DULLES, Va., March 29 (UPI) -- Virginia's Raytheon Technical Services Company has won a U.S. Army Forces Command contract to support military operational and training needs.

The five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple-award task order contract has a ceiling value of $2.5 billion, the company said.

Under the Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services II contract, task orders will be issued for services that address operational planning; training; modeling and simulation; flight operations; mobilization plans and execution; deployment operations; force protection and transformation.

Work will be performed for the Army and other U.S. Department of Defense entities.

"RTSC's strong capabilities in training, logistics and engineering services are key enablers in our OPTARSS II team's ability to meet the customer's mission requirements," RTSC President John Harris said. "We have assembled a diverse team of small-, medium- and large-business partners, all of which are focused on offering services and solutions to our warfighters, anytime and everywhere."

Additional details of the contract weren't disclosed.

Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC is a subsidiary of the Raytheon Co.
