MIAMI, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Super Bowl XLIV, pitting the Indianapolis Colts against the New Orleans Saints, will kickoff about 6:25 p.m. EST Sunday in Miami.

The teams had the best records in the NFL this season. The Colts won their first 14 games and haven't allowed a second-half point in two playoff games. They won the AFC Championship game 30-17 over the New York Jets. New Orleans beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 in overtime in winning the NFC's Super Bowl berth. The Saints scored 76 points in their two playoff games.

It is the first Super Bowl appearance for the Saints, who have been taken to heart by their home city more than most teams' fans because of the team's role as a rallying point while New Orleans recovered from 2005's Hurricane Katrina.

The Colts are looking for their third Super Bowl title. They lost the pre-AFL-NFL merger Super Bowl III to the Jets but won two years later as a member of the AFC when the team was in Baltimore. The team won the 2007 edition of the Super Bowl.

Consensus is for a high-scoring game as the two defenses, seen as adequate but not dominating, deal with high-powered offenses. The Colts, whose running game has been virtually non-existent, are led by quarterback Peyton Manning, considered one of the best at his position in NFL history. New Orleans counters with a more-balanced attack anchored by quarterback Drew Brees.
