STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- BAE Systems has signed a contract with Denmark to provide battle management radios in the country's fleet of 44 CV9035 Infantry Fighting Vehicles, the company announced Wednesday.

The CV90 is an array of tracked vehicles designed and built by BAE Systems Hägglunds, BAE said in a statement.

The monetary value of the contract to provide Denmark-specific battle management radio systems was not disclosed.

The vehicle's open electronic architecture makes possible the integration of any customer country's chosen system, as well as regular updates of vital electronics, the company said.

BAE's contract calls for cooperation between the company and Danish industrial partners. It is a deal the company says will provide a foundation for jobs, tech transfer and economic development.

There are more than 1,280 vehicles from the nine CV90 variants in service with seven European countries. The latest model is a Norwegian variant currently in production.
