DALLAS, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin has completed production of the first modernized Tactical Missile System and delivered it to the U.S. Army.
The Tactical Missile System, also known as TACMS, is part of the Army's Service Life Extension Program. The new weapon has been refitted with updated warheads designed to hit their targets without leaving behind unexploded ordnance. They also include updated guidance electronics to assist warfighters with targeting the enemy more closely.
