EFW gets $102 million U.S. Army mortar contract

Deal calls for Elbit subsidiary to procure 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortar weapon systems.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Elbit subsidiary EFW Inc. has been awarded a $102 million U.S. Army contract for the procurement of mortar weapon systems.

The firm-fixed-price contract covers procurement of 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortar systems.

Bids were solicited online, with three received.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each order. The estimated completion date is September 2021.

The Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity.
