Army's Network Enterprise System at Fort Benning gets NCI supprt

Classified and unclassified communications systems at Fort Benning are to receive technical support from NCI Inc under a firm-fixed-price contract.

RESTON, Va., July 29 (UPI) -- NCI reports it has been contracted to provide IT services in support of the Army's Network Enterprise Center at Fort Benning, GA.

The award is for a base period of 12 months with a single 12-month option year. It is a firm-fixed-price award worth $9.4 million and comes under an NCI contract issued in 2006.

"The U.S. Army is one of NCI's largest and longest-standing customers and we are pleased to begin supporting the Network Enterprise Center at Fort Benning with this award," said Brian J. Clark, NCI's president. "We look forward to ensuring the highest level of information system support to allow mission-critical efforts to operate at peak performance."

Under the new contract, NCI Inc. will operate and maintain classified and unclassified communication systems for Fort Benning's NEC. Work will include network administration, installation and engineering, and system maintenance.

Help Desk assistance, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting and other support services are also covered.

Fort Benning is home to the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, Armor School, Infantry School, Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, elements of the 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd Brigade – 3rd Infantry Division, and others.
