COPENHAGEN, Denmark, May 28 (UPI) -- Terma A/S, the Danish high-tech company, is to supply military equipment to Boeing and components for a commercial aircraft.

The contracts for Terma's electronic warfare management system for CH-47 Chinook helicopters, Harpoon missile simulators and component parts for the Boeing 777 are worth a combined total of more than $15 million.

The awards are a result of a longstanding partnership between the two companies, which includes a 2009 Memorandum of Agreement through which Boeing aims to provide Terma with a minimum of 30 percent of the industrial cooperation investments outlined in Boeing's proposal to Denmark's New Fighter Program.

"We have aggressively pursued win-win opportunities with Terma that extends beyond Boeing's defense programs," said Debbie Rub, Boeing vice president and general manager, Global Strike. "We are pursuing partnerships and investing across Danish industry to establish long term, trusted business relationships. This will allow us to incorporate the very best capabilities across the Boeing portfolio of products as we satisfy our global customer needs."

Terma's electronic warfare management system for CH-47s features dual cockpit displays and integrates multiple warning and counter-measure systems. Its Harpoon missile simulator supports testing and training with Harpoon command-and-launch systems.

Components for 777 commercial aircraft -- the first by Terma for a Boeing commercial plane -- include chords, shear ties and filler for empennage ribs.

"Terma's experience within composites structures technology provides promising opportunities for collaboration and for introduction of Terma into the Boeing supply chain," said Jens Maaloe, Terma president and chief executive officer. "The 777 contract is strategically important to Terma in our effort to establishing the company as a supplier in the commercial aircraft segment."

No information was provided by Terma as to when the products will be delivered to Boeing.
