YAHUD, Israel, March 31 (UPI) -- Israel's Magal Security Systems Ltd reports new orders from international customers for physical security solutions worth a combined total of $12 million.

One of the contracts -- worth $6.4 million -- is for the security of multiple secondary power stations in Latin America, while another is for provision of a fiber-optic perimeter intrusion detection system, CCTVs and Access Controls for a military installation of a Western government.

Magal, which specializes in physical and cyber-security systems, said a third major order, for $1.6 million, was issued by a large Canadian utility company and is for fence-mounted fiber-optic sensors, smart gates, biometric based access control, door locks, IP CCTV with IR illumination and a video management system.

"I am pleased with our first orders for long-range fiber optic systems in Europe," said Eitan Livneh, president and chief executive officer of Magal S3. "I am also encouraged by the ongoing solid flow of new orders we have recently seen, and I hope it will lead to additional business in the next few months."

Magal said other orders received recently were issued by security integration firms in Poland and Latin America. The orders were for security system maintenance and the company's newest fence-mounted sensors.
