Engility gets new award from Navy to support EOD efforts

CHANTILLY, Va., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Engility Holdings Inc. has joined the roll of companies contracted by the U.S. Navy to support its Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division.

The company, under a new three-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, will provide engineering, systems engineering and technical analysis, and development of programs and technologies that will support the EOD warfighter mission.

"We are honored to win a position on this award and we are proud of our long-standing relationship with our Navy customer," said Engility President and Chief Executive Officer Tony Smeraglinolo. "Engility's highly skilled team of experts currently support this important mission on another contract and this award will give us further opportunity to proudly continue that support."

The multiple award contract, a cost-plus-fixed-fee award, carries an overall value of as much as $24.9 million, Engility said.

Additional details of the contract, the work to be performed by Engility and the identities of other companies that have been awarded the contract were not disclosed.
