ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- A time and materials task order to support base operations and logistics at the Red River Army Depot in Texas has been given to VSE Corp.
The award is for a one-year base period valued at $5.4 million and two option periods. The total value of the award would be $14.3 million if all options were exercised.
"VSE's wide range of experience makes us uniquely qualified to be the Army's best-value partner on this effort," said Donnelle Moten, the company's federal group president. "We have carefully selected a small business partner whose corporate experience, skill, and knowledge in facility operations and associated support elements complement our skills and expertise. Our combined experience includes past and ongoing base operations, depot level projects, and installation logistical support activities that will ensure the success of our efforts at RRAD."
ProSource Technology Inc., a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, is VSE's primary partner on this task order.
VSE said that under the order, it is to provide on-site contractor logistics support, including facilities maintenance, base operations, installation logistical support, supply technician, clerical support functions and administrative support functions.
