SRA given prime slot on Navy contract

FAIRFAX, Va., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- SRA International Inc. has been chosen as a prime contractor for the U.S. Navy Transport, Computing and Infrastructure Pillar contract.

The selection for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract was made by the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic.

"SRA is excited to be selected as a prime contractor on the TCI Pillar and we look forward to supporting SSC Atlantic with their national security mission," said George Batsakis senior vice president of the SRA's National Security Group. "This is an important win that builds upon our dedication to support SSC Atlantic and our continued investment in this important market."

SRA said that under the award, it will support the mission technology needs of key SSC Atlantic business areas, including ashore, afloat, mobile, joint, federal and coalition Infrastructure. Task orders issued by SSC Atlantic cover services and solutions associated with full system lifecycle. Among them are communications, satellite and joint space communications, networks, network management, common computing environment, infrastructure, cloud computing, afloat data centers and server hosting environments.

Also covered are consolidated network components and wireless networking.

The Pillar award, if all options are exercised, has a maximum value of $900 million.
