"The industry's nature is such that depending on circumstances concerning the product and customer, further information regarding the customer will not be announced, it said."

The Carl-Gustaf M3 is a reusable 84mm weapon produced by Saab Bofors Dynamics. The first model of the recoilless rifle was introduced into service in 1948.

The weapon is shoulder fired but also comes with a bipod for firing from a prone position. The Carl-Gustaf is used by the military forces of some 40 countries.

"This order is ... evidence of the system's strong market position," said Gorgen Johansson, head of Saab's Dynamics business area. "Carl-Gustaf is a leading system and a key component of armed forces throughout the world.

"With each new model the demand for the system increases in many strategic markets."
