YAHUD, Israel, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- An Israeli company that provides physical and cyber-security solutions has been contracted for two projects in Africa.

Details of the work to be performed were not given, but Magal said the contract has the potential to be expanded to additional locations.

The second order is an expansion of a contract with the Kenya Port Authority for the security system at the port of Mombasa. Under the order, Magal will expand its security work to include an area of the port not covered in an initial contract for an integrated security project.

"We are encouraged by these orders in Africa, an important target region for us," said Eitan Livneh, president and chief executive officer of Magal Security. "These orders, from both a new customer as well as an existing one, demonstrate our ability to grow by expanding our customer base, while at the same time leveraging our base of satisfied customers."

The combined value of the two contracts is $6 million, the company said.
