VIENNA, Va., Oct. 4 (UPI) -- Management and technology consulting firm Attain LLC has been selected to provide support services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The services -- in areas such as software development and information infrastructure and maintenance -- will be provided under the department's Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II multiple-award, multiyear contract.

EAGLE II is an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity award with an estimated overall value of $22 billion over a seven-year period.

"It is a privilege to have this opportunity to serve the Department of Homeland Security and support its mission," said Greg Baroni, chairman and chief executive officer of Attain. "We are ready and dedicated to delivering the market-leading results needed to help keep America safe.

"This contract allows us to leverage our highly skilled experts and valued teammates, proven methodologies, and our transformative solutions to provide high-quality and cost-effective IT infrastructure, systems, software, operations and maintenance to enhance performance of DHS functions and achieve mission success."

EAGLE II is a contract vehicle for acquiring technology support services in three functional areas -- service delivery, program support services, and independent test, validation, verification and evaluation. Attain will provide services in the service delivery area in support of software design, development and integration.
