WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- A $6.2 million award to provide operational and technical services to the U.S. Air Combat Command has been given to CSSS.NET, a cyber-security and IT company.

The work will be performed for ACC's Operational Support Center at Joint Air Force Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Va., and will be conducted with engineering company MacAulay-Brown Inc., a partner on the contract.

"We are honored to have this new opportunity to further expand our partnership with the U.S. Air Force to support systems that are critical to our national defense," said Lisa Wolford, president and chief executive officer CSSS.NET. "Our team brings together a deep understanding of Air Force technology and culture with talented subject-matter experts who have successfully addressed some of the toughest challenges in IT today, including transitions to the cloud, cyber-security, IPV6 and continuous monitoring.

"We look forward to leveraging this rich knowledge and expertise to provide outstanding solutions for the ACC OSC across a broad array of technical areas."

The contract features a one-year base period of performance and three option years.

Under the contract the CSSS.NET team will provide a range of information technology services to support Air Force weapons systems. The work will be in the areas of information assurance, change management, network engineering, systems administration and video teleconference support.
