The facility operated by the company's aftermarket subsidiary, Agusta Aerospace Services, is located in Zaventem, close to the Brussels airport. It is nearly 6,900 square feet in size.
A range of R&O services will be provided for AgustaWestland's light helicopters, including AW109 legacy, AW109 Power and GrandNew, the B204/205/206 and AB212/412 helicopter types.
"This facility is called to support our existing and expanding product range playing a key role in the important European market and in other regions," said Daniele Romiti, AgustaWestland chief executive officer. "Agusta Aerospace Services is, and will be, a major part of the effort of providing our customers with the best and most comprehensive range of support services available.
"We've increasingly become a total capability provider and we are committed to further strengthening this strategy to allow our growing customer base to maximize mission effectiveness and improve efficiencies."
AgustaWestland said the facility is being prepared to handle other helicopter types in the future, including the AW189 and AW169 models.
