The award has a performance period of five years.
CPI Aerostructures has been contracted since 2010 by Sikorsky for the assembly labor of the H-60 Black Hawk fuel panels using components supplied by Sikorsky, and to-date has delivered more than 350 for the Black Hawk production line.
Under the new contract, CPI Aerostructures will perform all manufacturing tasks for the assemblies, including purchasing all detail parts and components and managing the supply chain. It will continue to manufacture fuel panels on an outsource basis as this new agreement transitions into full production this year.
CPI said that with this award, its new contracts from all customers for the current year totals about $68 million. For the same period last year, the total was $45 million.
Sikorsky's H-60 aircraft are in military use in about 29 countries around the world.
