MCLEAN, Va., July 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific has tapped SAIC to provide infrastructure sustainment services for its shore networks.

The services for SSC Pacific's Shore Networks Branch include project management; engineering, technical, and integrated logistics support; configuration management; certification and accreditation; and enterprise applications.

Technical assistance, engineering, design, accreditation, integration, production, sustainment, and upgrade support for non-integrated shore systems, and network components is also included under the multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

"SAIC consistently provides crucial technical and engineering support services to SSC Pacific," said Tom Watson, Science Applications International Corporation's Navy and Marine Corps Group senior vice president.

"The work we will continue to provide under this contract will help ensure information and network dominance for ashore, ground, and afloat units worldwide."

The contract has a base period of three years and a potential value of about $73 million.

SSC Pacific's Shore Networks Branch is responsible for life-cycle support of shore networks, network components and network service solutions – as well as direct mission support -- to ground units and other operational communications sites located on shore.
